2008 Harrison Church

Picture Directories are HERE!
Pick up your copy of the 2008 Harrison Church picture directory following today’s worship service, under the arbor.  Directories are free to all who participated. If you would like a copy, but were unable to participate, we are requesting a $5 donation to help offset the cost.

Consignment Sale Update
God blessed our September Faith Circle Consignment Sale once again with more than $19,000 in sales. The Faith and Friendship Circles received 30% of this, to which 10% is tithed to Harrison Church. The remainder is used in various ministries, such as Lois Lodge, an unplanned pregnancy Center; to Birthday Blessings, a non-profit organization which gives birthday parties for homeless children; and to numerous causes within Harrison Church. We have fun with this annual event and other outreach projects throughout the year.
If you’d like to join us and see God at work here at Harrison, come to our next meeting, this Tuesday, October 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.

Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk
Home of the nation's largest CROP Hunger Walk for the past 20 consecutive years
What does CROP mean?
C = Communities
R = Responding to
O = Overcome
P = Poverty
Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty
What is the CROP Hunger Walk?
Neighbors from different faiths, cultures, and ages, walking together to take a stand against hunger in our
world. Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local
hungerfighting agencies. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year.

Where does the money go?
CROP Hunger Walks help fight hunger and poverty around the world, including the United States. 25% of what is raised at the Charlotte Walk stays in Mecklenburg County and benefits Crisis Assistance Ministry, Loaves & Fishes and Second Harvest Food Bank. The remaining funds are used by Church World Service to provide global hunger education, disaster relief and selfhelp projects throughout the world. If you would like to be a part of the 2008 Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk, please contact any member of the Missions Team. for information. Signups for the walk by emailing brenda.johnson@kefferauto.com, signup on the web or call 8039840948.
